Try Openbox+feh Without Panel, Without Desktop Icon Options

1. Based openbox
left mouse click to active root-menu
use shade window when press mini button, since do not use taskbar
use openbox menu to replace normal "start" menu
use piplemenu to control speedstep, sd, CF, swap, etc. This can be down by new powerctrl exec program (in developing).
rebuild root menu by .desktop
select openbox theme by root menu

2. feh show background

3. conky to system monitor, or some other lightweight tray/dock display program.

To achive this target, following work shoud be done:
1. make openbox menu, convert .desktop to openbox menu
2. make new command line program, replace mb-applet-powerctrl. Use pipe menu to exec it and control zaurus.
3. modify conky or other lightweight system monitor for zaurus.

PS:
mb-applet-powerctrl is back and continue.
I am working on replacing mbmenu with gtk menu.

That is exactly what I want to try. It should reduce memory usage quite a bit and use screen real estate well. I'm eager to test it.
I am using Fluxbox 1.0 at the moment and I like the root menu(assigned to the menu key).
The use of a key for shading all windows at once is a great idea to replace the taskbar.
Another key to show the desktop and conky ....

The program to make openbox root-menu will coming soon. It convert current desktop to openbox.

The pipe menu for zaurus is in my plan. The pipe menu of openbox is dynamic menu. We can doing some special zaurus control like mb-applet-powerctrl, for example, set cpu frequence, adjust backlight, eject sd/cf card, swap on/off, etc.

conky has some problem. I have compile the newest conky version, and it really work. But conky need double-buffer function to avoide flicker. In PC linux, this function can be provide by modify xorg.conf, whole work is add one line to load dbe module. pdaxrom has no xorg.conf.

Is pdaxrom support dbe module? and how to?

If conky can not be successed, I should conside dock app, such as wmtop, wmapp.
