I have just installed many programs through ipkg... namely..
opie-ftp ktimetrackerpi mileage notez They do not appear in my menus, even after restarting opie.. Maybe my opie is not looking on the SD card for icons? The applications work.. Thanks |

Make sure you've run ipkg-link.
For installations to the SD card you'd do the following: ipkg-link mount /media/card/packages (if that doesn't work, remove the 'packages' bit) Then use the update icons icon, or just restart Opie. Si |

I always have to use ipkg-link when I install packages somewhere other than / Si I installed a package (opie-bartender I believe) and it worked automatically...which is why I thought it was supposed to do so..also had a lot of problems installing because of a corrupted SD so I thought the problem could've been related.. Sorry for asking a FAQ kind of question.. Thanks again! |
