I'm purchasing a Z from someone on the forums. Looking at the mirror, this seems to be the japanese Cacko kernel? Does that mean it'll all be in japanese or will it be english with japanese support? If all japanese, does anyone know where the english kernel is? Or has it been lost? Thanks much.

Dont think its an issue
If you download the zip for your Z look in the instructions all the files for the ROM are in the ZIP, dont think I ever needed an additional kernel file after flashing the Z C |

He was able to flash it to cacko without issue. Thanks! Btw, your sig is on the mark. "Keep your Z on a bungee..." After cracking the screen of my old husky, I'm definitely keeping my coming terrier on a lanyard. Better safe than sorry. |

OT: I just checked my akita and its batt is at 43%. I left it closed/suspended for like a week or two without charging and yet it only lost so little batt. Is this normal?

Snappy,
i see in your sig Akita (Daily use) SL-C1000 with Cacko 1.23 full Accessories: Wifi XI-825 CF | 4GB 150x SDCARD | 1GB RiDATA PRO-2 80x CF that you use a 4GB 150x SDCARD. I know only about 1 GB and 2GB in the Secure Digital official specs and possible touble with non-SDHC cards >1GB (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Digital). I would like to use a 4GB card too, so my questions are: which brand is your card and do you use a special SD driver module? Thanks Stefan |

Thanks Stefan The 3200 Sharp rom had a module that was capable of using SD cards > 2gb. If you use Cacko 1.23 you need to copy this module over the one that comes with Cacko. It will work with any of the C1000, C3000, C3100 models. Here is a link to a post with the module: link to my post. I hope that is of some use. If you don't have one of those models search for posts by Pelrun in a thread called 'I mounted a 2 gig Sd card'. Use the search function unless you want to browse for hours! Cheers. |

Just popped in. Didn't read your question.
Hope you got yours working. I had the tetsu driver thingie, so I was able to use a 4gb sdcard. SD cards with 4gb storage is supposed to be uncommon. Got a transcend. Anyway, more good news. http://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?showto...mp;#entry184671 Install the driver update to support SDHC cards in Cacko and SHARP rom. I just did and am now using a 16gb sdhc card in Cacko 1.23. Time to update my signature! |
