Will you buy my 5000D ?
Sorry for the laugh at your expense - but being the owner of a 5000D myself - I can tell this much - no one is gonna touch the 5000D with a barge pole, let alone buy it for $150. Just my 2 cents. As an afterthought - if you do manage to sell it (and I wish you well) do let me know - I will put up my 5000D also for sale |

QUOTE(zbeckerd @ Apr 1 2005, 12:35 AM) Well, the models are SL-5000D and SL-5500. No such thing as a SL-5500D. I suspect that he's trying to sell a 5500, but you can't tell for sure from what he's posted. As for Nilch - Who would be mean enough to buy your 5000D and leave you Zaurus-less? Personally, I'm going to try to beowulf cluster my 2 5x00 and my 2 Ipaqs, just for kicks. I'm toying with using the 5000d as an embedded computer for a robotics project, but that's a little way off yet. |

I wish though I had the knowledge and ability like yourself to do something more useful than what I do now with my 5000D, which is not much apart from basic PIM now - since I can't load much on the thing anyways (unless I do a /home on SD). |

Home on SD is the *only* way to go for the poor, under-rammed 5000D, although I have OZ on mine at the moment. For doing the Beowulf I'll probably go OZ across the board because that way I can have the same system on all of them. For actually *using* the 5000D I stick with the old Cacko 32-0 kernel. |
