Hi,
Received my very first Zaurus a few days ago - a C1000 bought from Trisoft who I would recommend to anyone buying a Zaurus in the UK. After a bit of a play around with the anglicised Sharp ROM, I decided I wanted something a bit more flexible and thought I'd try the OpenZaurus ROM. This looks very nice (Opie), but seems a bit too unfinished at the moment for real work, so I thought I'd have a go at the latest pdaXrom. Installation went without a hitch, and almost all the functions I need seem to be working. The only exception is the USB device functionality which I cannot work out. I run usbdconfig and set the function to Net or Disc, plug the A-B cable in between my PC and the Z (B end in the Z), and then nothing. The (Windows XP) PC doesn't detect it at all. If I plug a USB device into the Z (e.g. a BT adapter), the hotplug system picks it up fine and seems to configure it ok, so the USB drivers seem to be working. Am I missing something or does the USB interface _only_ function in host mode at the moment? Regards, -- Jamie |

Hmmm.
Maybe I should rephrase my question: Has anyone got USB networking to work on a C1000/3000 with pdaXrom 1.1.0 RC10? -- Jamie |

Same problem here, I wanted to use the SD card emulation as it is easy to move files that way for me. The following thread may be helpful:
http://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=13680 although I did not manage to get that to work yesterday, but I only had a very brief time to try. |
