Hi!
I'm new on these forum. I need your help because, I've several problems on my Sl-5500 with OpenZaurus 3.5.3. As my Zaurus has no internet connection it's difficult to install feed with Qtopia Desktop running on Windows. I tried several times to install opie-mediaplayer2 and xmms with the originial opie-feed but there are always missing dependencies. I just need a good working mp3 and movie player. And I also want to get running Hancom, an algebra system like Pari/GP. Are there any specific instructions for users available? All the configuration work would be easier by having VNC or shell access to my PDA when it's connected to USB. Which possibilites do I have? Thank you for your answers! |

I'm able to connect the Z over SSH.
But can anyone give me instructions to install a mp3 player, Hancom Office and Pari/GP? |

I don't know about the others and their dependencies, but Pari/GP is just a binary executable. If you can copy files into your Zaurus (eg using ssh/scp or with a memory card), just copy the file to somewhere in your PATH (eg /usr/bin/ ) and make it executable (chmod a+x). You might need to be root to do that. Then, if the file is called gp, just typing gp at the command prompt will launch it.

Felipe I just know this feed: http://wotan.algebra.math.uni-siegen.de/~countnumber/zaurus/ , no other binary. But somehow it doesn't work with oz 3.5.3. |
