Additional Groups, adding an additional group Options

Hi,

i trie to get the java serial interface running. Now I'm stuck with the following problem:

I need to add a seccond group 'uucp' for the zaurus user!

I just added the /etc/group and added the user zaurus at the end to the group uucp. But it does not work. If I create a directory as
#> mkdir gugu
#> chgrp uucp gugu
#> chmod 770 gugu
#> exit
zaurus> cd gugu

Then as zaurus I should be able to ce into the directory gugu!!! But he tells me I have no rights

I had a look at this tinylogin stuff but I have no solution. So my question:

Are the group right not implemented in the official zaurus rom or do I make somthing wrong?

I have a Z-860 with original sharp rom 1.5.0.
