I don't believe this is a feature in KO/Pi, at least I haven't found it yet, but can you link to documents (text, spreadsheets, audio files, etc) from within an appointment or todo?

If so, how? If not, please add this to your list of requested features.

I often take notes in the text editor or with Hancom Word or I may even record a meeting and I would love the ability to link these files to the appointment or to a todo in KO/Pi. Thus, when I search for that appointment later, I have all relevant information available thru links.

I know KO/Pi has the journal entries that can be used for each day, but I'm looking for something much more flexible that will allow me to link to any media regardless of type. I envision that clicking the link would simply launch the associated program and allow you to view the picture, diagram, sketch, text doc, spreadsheet, ppt or listen to the audio file, etc.

I haven't tried, but there are two buttons beside the priority drop down list. What are they for?

For bugs and features, I believe zautrix looks to the sourceforge page for the PI stuff. He'll see you requests sooner there.

edit: nevermind the first part. I see now that they are for opening and saving events/todos.

Thanks Bluedevils, I'll post there to ensure he sees it. What do you or anyone else for that matter, think of the suggestion? Is this something you would find useful as well? The more who think it's useful, the more likely we are to see it added as a feature unless it is very difficult to implement.

Looks like Daniel3000 beat me to it. He has already added a feature request for linking to external documents and also linking within KO/Pi between appts, todos, & journal entries (good idea).

Yes it would be useful if your document is needed for the event/todo instead of searching for it at the last minute. I'm all for it.

Yes, indeed.
For example, each time i get invited to a meeting I could append the agenda (usually in PDF or DOC format) to the appointment.

However, zautrix seems to be really busy for the last couple of months, as he doesn't even respond to emails.
I know he has added some interesting features and bugfixes to KDEPIM/PI and announced them to be included in the next release. Bit we're still on 2.2.7 for a year or so now.
