I don't know if this has been already posted here, anyway a Collie has been added to the website of the "A History of the World" BBC radio program:
Thanks to Ant for the link.

Maybe not really a Zaurus User Group meeting since we were just two of us, but still...
Me and Ant (kexecboot's maintainer) live relatively close in Italy (2h 30' away by car), so we have decided to met last Friday after work, in a highway rest area halfway where we live. We had a beer and lots of talk about Zauruses, kexec, and technology gadgets in general. It was nice to meet in person someone who you only know via chat or on the forum. Do any of you had any similar meeting lately? Even if I believe that none of the old ZUGs are still active...
Ant has also kindly given me two Zauruses from his own collection: an SL-5500 and an SL-C860, to use them for testing all the future kexec versions, plus a wealth of accessories: some wifi and bluetooth cards, a memory bank, spare pens, chargers, batteries and cables. Thanks a lot Ant for your kind gesture, those two Z's have now found a good home!

I have seen a message from fourier on #zaurus asking if there's any 3G USB modem that works under pdaXrom, he went offline before I could answer him so I'll answer him here. I have never used one, but I'm curious to know what options for a 3G/LTE modem are available, too, so I have done some research.
From what I read USB modems usually work, but most likely all of them would require a powered USB HUB in order to work, see here: http://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=23465
IMHO the easiest solution would be to connect via tethering to a phone, using a wifi or a bluetooth card, wifi might be faster: http://www.oesf.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=21615
Softbank offered in the past a 3G CF modem, which was officially supported on the Zaurus, but you'll need a lot of luck to find one nowadays:
And I have come across a 3G SD modem made by Huawei. It's an SDIO card; such cards are supported by the later Z models, though driver support will be most probably an issue, only the latest kernels might support them (hence, only Alarmz):

"The NetBSD Project is pleased to announce NetBSD 7.1, the first feature update of the NetBSD 7 release branch.":
While OpenBSD has dropped the support for the Zaurus (with the 6.0 release being the last one), the folks at NetBSD are still releasing binaries for our beloved PDAs. The Zaurus' release includes a specific kernel for the SL-C700 (Corgi), plus a generic one for all the other models.
BTW Lately there have been some (minimal) activity on the port-zaurus mailing list:

As you have noticed, we have now a new forum layout which should better serve the current needs, a long overdue change I believe. This is what has been changed:
- many forums, which are not used anymore since years, have now been archived in a new Archived forums section. All the forums there are read-only, so no new thread can be added or replied to. If required, you can open a new thread in one of the active forums and link to the older thread
- some older forums have been merged into single ones
- the whole forum is now not a (mostly) Zaurus-only one anymore; the sections which are devoted to the Zaurus are now clearly labeled as such. This is done so that any newcomer will find it easier to find out, in the Model Specific section, to which model is each forum related to.
The ELSI and Wiki forums will remain the same as before, we'll eventually change them when both the Wiki and the ELSI will be back online.
If you need any new forum to be opened, or any old one to be taken out of the archive, please let me know.
