Have you looked around in ZSI? http://www.killefiz.de/zaurus/ There are many options available (except fro the browser). I use Advanced File Manager, Opera, Sharp Voice Recorder, Sharp Media Player. Don't do ftp, dictionary, or html editing. Check ZSI and it's keyword search.

zBedic = dictionary, free English dictionary files available, cant remember where off hand.
Konqueror = web browser
And there ARE html editors, seen them, but cannot remember names..

Fear not, the software you seek IS there....

In terms of which programs will run under tkc, they would be the same applications that would run on any of the Sharp ROMs for 5500.

To determine if an application is for the Sharp ROMs vs the OPIE based ROMs (OpenZaurus), check out the Unofficial Zaurus FAQ:

http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modules.php...parent_id=0#203

In that area of the FAQ you'll find some answers--

As for the HTML editors, there are HTML@Zaurus, Darkstar and several others on killefiz:
http://www.killefiz.de/zaurus/

Good luck!

If the application won't install via the software application, chances are it is not packaged right or may not be meant for the tkcROM. Really hard to tell unless you get the error message. So, go to the terminal, cd to where the file is and type the following:

# ipkg install <package name>.ipk

It is also possible that you need ipkg-new for the package, but do that first to get the error.

What library? This is the Advanced File Manager:

Many other nice apps there as well.

I read the following from your post, and I was responding to your statement that you couldn't install a library from the Software app. That's how I interpretted what you said:
