Hi !
I've compiled some wifi security tools for Cacko: aircrack-ng, hostap drivers 0.4.9 with packet injection, and latest wireless-tools. Everything is here: http://ldrolez.free.fr/software/zaurus/#witools Enjoy! |

Hi,
thanks for that. I upgraded my Z to latest wifi tools and hostap; seems to work well. I still can't make wifi connect a second time, unless I "cardctl eject 0; sleep 2 ; cardctl insert 0" on my 3200, so there's still something very odd going on; when I use gui the light on the CF card flashes on, goes out, and it simply won't do anything. I've compared results of "ps -ef" before and after, and "lsmod", and nothing obvious. Something in the scripts must leave something hanging around. Paul |

Hi!
Today I've updated aircrack-ng to v0.7 and fixed a segfault in aircrack. http://www.drolez.com/software/zaurus Cheers, |

does the Z have enough memory and cpu power to run aircrack successfully? I would have thought it'd be ideal for doing the packet capture, but wouldn't be able to crack a wep key in a reasonable period of time.

QUOTE(speculatrix @ Jan 23 2007, 05:28 PM) does the Z have enough memory and cpu power to run aircrack successfully? I would have thought it'd be ideal for doing the packet capture, but wouldn't be able to crack a wep key in a reasonable period of time. When you capture enought IVs, you can crack a wep key in less than 5 minutes on a 2Ghz PC. So it may translate to 30 minutes on the Zaurus. I think that memory is not a problem. Cheers, |

I tried to using the pdaXrom builder with the cacko kernel, but my modules didn't work, as ogrefish will attest. If there's a cacko environment around, I may be able to try again.

Yes, thanks for the time capn'. I tried as well on the advice of speculatrix using his vmware dsl dl found here. Kernel can be found to in one of the other directories.
http://www.zaurus.org.uk/download/dev/vmware_DSL_ZSDK.zip. No luck for me of course, then again im fairly new to this and its highly, almost definitely likely i did something wrong. It would be great to get injection working on cacko. |
