Hallo,

I'd like to use Opera7 on my C860. I look for information how to install it.
The O6 ipk from "me.256k.net/..." does not work on my device.

Is there any HOWTO known or any working IPK's available for this SharpROM Zaurus 860?

Appreciate hints from U

Try the opera in the multimodal kit, on the ibm site - works for me...

excellent - Opera 7.55 for the Zaurus!!

Unfortunately it does not work out yet.
Starting from busybox-commandline reveals several access rights problems and files not found or found for ja-version instead of en-version etc.etc. Disappointing.
C860 knows user zaurus and root. Even as root I can not change the access rights for the Opera-directories. Tells me it would be an read only filesystem (how did Opera-installer write then?). Setting some more Xes and Rs and Ws was not successful. I do something wrong?!

I need help setting the access rights and whatever. Presumably this was done before and there is already a HOWTO or so.

It would be much appreciated to get some hints where tips to find and how this can be solved.
Thanks a lot in advance!!!

I retract the nasty statement about the crashes - easy to fix: Just start opera from command line and sort out the displayed errors one by one.
Now Opera stable and this comment was submitted from the Z via WiFi.

How cool is that - many thanks to all helping to achieve this!!!
