While waiting for the first clamshell phones with a bendable screen, Zte has launched its Axon M smartphone, featuring 2 screens that can be placed side by side, and combined into a single display:

I wonder if one of the screens could be used as a virtual keyboard. I anyway believe bendable screens will be a better solution, providing that they won't easily break due to the mechanical stress caused by the constant opening and closure of the clamshell.

Sony tried this before with the Vaio P smartphone:

the two halves didn't seamlessly join. It wasn't that successful. Perhaps now that people are happier to carry larger devices this ZTE device will do better?
