Hey all, I was looking through the old forum for info about the smartcard reader, and somebody on there...Guylhem actually....said he had the sourcecode for a kernel module, I think..
Anyway, anybody know where I might find that source code? I'd like to play around with the cardreader. I know I'll still have to make and/or find a userland program to handle it, but that's fine... |

Let me know if you do get it. I've developed quite a few smartcard applications and drivers and can probably hack up something quickly.

See the links at the bottom of externe.net/zaurus/simpad-bluetooth for the 2.4.25 I use (working mostly fine) and my b0rked 2.4.29 (a couple of hours work - works suprisignly good for so little time spent - I only wanted to have the latest bluetooth stack to try to work around some hidp kernel bug) The smartcard patch is on externe.net/zaurus/simpad-bluetooth/smartcard - it was done by Juergen but never tested. IIRC it's included in kernel 2.4.25 Have fun. Guylhem |

if you guys feel something is missing in this 2.4.25 kernel, please submit patches.
I will try to post a list of all the patches that are included in my tarball compared to a vanilla 2.4.25 kernel, and try to test and add the ones submitted to that kernel tree. A 2.6 would be great, but it's missing too much features at the moment (I prefer stability) Guylhem |

Hi,
sounds great that there are efforts to the smartcard . I would be pleasured to have the ability to use them on the simpad. It would be awsome to have the drivers for 2.6 as well  .If you need to know something of 2.6 on simpad try to ask zecke or woglinde at #openembedded on freenode.net.
