I switched my C3k to english.
Now I want to do TCP/IP over the usb port. I believe this can be done with the Interne Setting Wizard From NETWORK I choose Dialop/PPP then LAN Card The next three screens are japanese only and I see only squares. Could anybody tell what the mean? Or is there another way to set this up? Thanks, ms |

Actually, the Internet Settings window is not the correct place to do this.
Go to the "PC Link" settings and set the zaurus to use the "PC Link Setting". Then set the hostname, wanted ip (usually 192.168.0.201), and then make sure the connection type is "USB - TCP/IP (advanced)". |

QUOTE(gtJormungand @ Jun 28 2005, 11:52 PM) Actually, the Internet Settings window is not the correct place to do this. Go to the "PC Link" settings and set the zaurus to use the "PC Link Setting". Then set the hostname, wanted ip (usually 192.168.0.201), and then make sure the connection type is "USB - TCP/IP (advanced)". Thanks, I did this, and samba works now fine. But still the zaurus does not know what to route where and any nameservers. I think with the "PC Link Setting" you set up the hardware layer, but with the Internet Settings the higher layers. Of course it could be done from the command line, but the Internet Setting should do it in a much more comfortable way. ms |
