I just bought a brand new SL-C860 a few days ago. When I turn down the display brightness, there is a buzzing sound coming from the display. It is really slight, and you have to put your ear up to the display to hear it, but this doesn't seem healthy. The intensity of the buzzing varies depending on the brightness and it only goes away when the brightness at its highest. Has anyone else noticed this in their Zaurii?

That's normal for minor buzzing. All the clamshells have it. Some are more subtle than others

It from a small transformer that's used to convert the low battery voltage into a high voltage to drive the backlight (that's why it is less noticable at lower brightness). Again, nothing to worry about - beautiful machine isn't it!
