How many of you guys run your own Zaurus news sites? I know of tyrannozaurus.com and thegrinder.ws. Anyone else?
Disclaimer: I apologize if I missed your site. I mainly stick around the forums |

What I want to do is make one central news site for all Open Embedded Device news. We have several news sites scattered around and it doesn't make sense for everyone to do their own thing. I think it'd benefit the community more if we had one central one.
I'd like this central one to be the homepage of oesf.org. The wiki would be moved to http://www.oesf.org/wiki/ and be linked to from the main page using the bar at the top. Obviously, I'd also like to support other languages. The main thing I need though is community support to do this. That's why I asked which members have their own news sites. I want you guys to take this main one and go with it. I'll provide technical support and any OESF related support to it, but you'll all be the managers of the site. Interested? |

QUOTE(jan @ Mar 7 2006, 05:31 PM) QUOTE(dz @ Mar 8 2006, 12:10 AM) Maybe. But openzaurus.org exists and the forums with their pinned topics are kind of news sites. I think stable (and reviewed) documentation is more important than news. just my .02 eur Right, but OpenZaurus isn't the only thing the Zaurus is about. The documentation will still be there. It'll just be moved. |

QUOTE(dz @ Mar 7 2006, 04:10 PM) Yup. As I mentioned to dz, if a group can work as a team to upkeep a central zaurus news site, I will join that team (if I'm welcome) and hopefully I can get some time freed up to do some Zaurus development. Tyrannozaurus would become more of a blog for my zaurus projects than a news site. I'm a family man so my free time is limited. |
