Zaurus SL-5500, OpenZaurus 3.3.5 (Clean install)

The workaround for wireless encryption on the OZ FAQ doesnt work.

Error for wireless request "Set Encode" (8B2A) :
SET failed on device wlan0 ; Operation not supported

Im using a Linksys WCF12 Card, wireless with encryption works on Sharp ROM / Qtopia

USB Networking doesnt work on windows either

Ive tried the New Sharp ROM 3 drivers, as well as the old old drivers that came with my Zaurus CD, as well as the drivers from the UK sharp site (the really olllld drivers).

Forum search revealed nothing, neither did google search.

Infact USB cradle is useless, windows just spits out "Internet Connecton 3 has limited or no connection to the Network"

There are problems with 3.3.5, the best option is to upgrade to the latest version (3.5.1):

(from the README.first in the download directory of 3.3.5)

Note: WEP with hostap may not work out of the box
Fix:  echo "hostap_crypt_wep" >> /etc/modules

Issues pending additional work (volunteers?):

- Battery reporting less accurate than on OZ 3.2 (missing OZ battery patch)
- No DSP sound over the buzzer (missing OZ buzzer patch)
- Hotplug sometimes not working (use cardctl eject && cardctl insert or reboot with card already inserted)
- Suspend/Resume sometimes (rarely) freezing or not reinitializing CF cards (to force it: /etc/init.d/pcmcia restart)

OZ3.3.6pre1 has worked for me for ages, but I'd go for the latest version which has just come out: http://openzaurus.org/official/unstable/3.5.1/ as this is what most people will be going to now (including me when I get home this evening:-))
