I've been contemplating on getting one so I get some extra disk space for my Zaurus sl-5600. So I decided splurge on a compact flash card... Sandisk SDCFB1024800. Turns out it's a type 1 card and I can't cancel it anymore (it's shipping as we speak). I'm wondering if there are any options for me to use it on my Z or should I just use it elsewhere.
Please advise. Thanks! |

Erm as far as I know Type I will fit. Its just a bit thinner than a type II. For Example my Ambicom CF card is TYPE I and works with the 5500. My SD-CF adapter is TYPE II and is slightly thicker but fits.

Whoa! So I can use the new CF card type I on my SL-5600 (CF card slot type II) without any incompatibilities and converters??

Yup, I'm not aware of any type I card that won't work in a type II slot.
Enjoy your sl5600 |

Cool! Thanks for the help. It did not occur to me that it was possible!
