Hello.
I think everyone is about to call me a traitor I have a Sharp Zaurus SL-6000L (WiFi, no bluetooth). It was a bit pricey for me when I bought it, and I just don't use it enough. Before I got into the Zaurus market my intention was to have a fairly simple clamshell PDA. However, the C-3x00 series looks too square, and is also pretty expensive (and not really simple either It's in good condition, but has been used, carried around, etc- the silver paint is slightly worn around the corners and the screen protector has marks on it. The screen itself is immaculate, as is the main body of the device. I still have the box, manuals, software, charger, cradle, docking slot protector, CF protector, etc. I would also be selling (or including): - 2 USB host adapters (mini-A male to A female)(it would probably cost 10 pounds to get hold of one) - 2.5mm (right angle) to 3.5mm jack adapter (short cable type) - Various "The Kompany" software that came with it (about 75 pounds worth I was told) - A complete travel kit (thin flexi USB cable, car charger, universal plug adapter) - Battery extender (4 AA's)(missing cover though) I'm looking for about 320, but I'm open to offers. Thanks Simon |

Thanks Simon Hi, It's very difficult to put a price on something like this (esp. as there don't seemto have been any on eBay for a while). I'm interested but tend to use my 5500 rarely now as it's just too buggy and slow for my purposes (multimedia apps). The 6000 would be superior for viewing pdf documents though. How is the battery life of the internal battery? |

Hard to say with a PDA, but my battery is still very good. It easily lasted me all day (probably 2 or even 3 days), even if I used it pretty heavily and played music on it for several hours. It's 1500mAh, which is quite a bit more than the 5500 (though it also has a bigger screen, faster processor and more memory to contend with).

QUOTE(systemparadox @ Oct 4 2006, 09:23 PM) Still for sale folks! See http://www.systemparadox.no-ip.org/~simon/zaurus6000/ for pictures and specifications. Crikey! £320? Sorry to say I'm afraid that's way, way too much IMHO. Things have moved on since the 6k was introduced e.g. for £268 can get a brand new Axim X51V with wifi, bluetooth and 624MHz processor. Obviously it comes with Windoze as std., but in terms of hardware specs it's much better vfm. All it needs is a distro on the built-in 256Mb flash mem and would be a v. tasty option. http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/products...dhs1&l=en&s=dhs Good luck anyway, maybe there's someone out there who would bite. Maybe eBay is your best bet, stick a reserve on it and see how it goes. |
