Here's a two-liner to have a green front LED turned on when PXA270-based Zaurus is not suspended. The main idea behind this is to mimic OBSD behavior. IMHO, it's quite handy to see whever Zaurus is suspended based on status of the front LED. Tested on C1K only, C3K/C3.1K use green LED as an indicator of HD activity, so I'm not sure if they would benefit from that patch.
You might want to change CONFIG_ARCH_PXA_SPITZ to CONFIG_ARCH_PXA_AKITA to make it compile on C1K only. http://www.iral.com/~albertr/linux/misc/led.diff -albertr |

Which cross-compiler was you uesd ? none of kernel which I compiled can boot my C1000 ... |

actually, it would be good having the led functioning as a disk activity led - usefull and less power consuming
