Does anyone use beta3 with a 2.6 kernel?

I've been looking over the build pages for pdaxii13

http://www.tyrannozaurus.com/feed/pdaXii13/build/

and

http://www.users.on.net/~hluc/myZaurus/pdaxii13.html#build

I haven't quite worked up to trying this yet, since I'm still trying to find out how to use the "endecsh" utility;

According to the second link, one should be able to flash any kernel via this method. Of course, that may be potentially hazardous.

Has anyone done anything similar to this? What would be some benefits and drawbacks to doing so?

I think I read on the forum here that there would be no benefit to using a 2.6 kernel with Beta 3 because the issues come from the 2.6 kernel itself, so you would just bring the issues without the fixes along.

beta3 or pdaXii13 + 2.6 kernel = beta4 + lots of bugs

beta4 + bug fixes = r121

r121 + bug fixes = pdaXiiNG?

Translation - Gosh that sounds exciting. For the original reference you would have to watch James Woods and company in the movie Vampires. Here is the exerpt:

Jack Crow: Let me ask you a question. When you were stabbing that vampire in there?
Father Adam Guiteau: Yeah?
Jack Crow: Did you get a little wood?
Father Adam Guiteau: Mahogany.
Jack Crow: Excuse me?
Father Adam Guiteau: Ebony.
Jack Crow: What?
Father Adam Guiteau: Teak.
Jack Crow: Are you possessed by demons?
Father Adam Guiteau: Major Chubby.
Jack Crow: Language, Padre, language!
