Does this mean no Android, or just a lack of the Google apps that many of us would seek to remove anyway?

From what I gather, the Google/Android certification ensures that:
- no malware is installed
- Google Play Protect (antivirus, Find My Device) and Google Apps (YouTube, Maps, Gmail, Chrome and Google Search) are installed
- Play Store apps work as intended (i.e. common functionalities such as backup and restore, or purchased video playback are working)

This would be certainly useful, but without the certification we'd still get both Android and the Play Store, so for me this won't be a dealbreaker.

Would it have any bearing on carrier acceptance, do you suppose?
