Sorry about this, but I've searched and seen several solutions, so I honestly just don't know what's the most current.
I'm trying to use a Fellowes Stowaway USB keyboard, but the mapping is wonky when I plug it in to OZ (3.5.4.1, I think; don't have it with me) on a C1000. How do I fix it again? |

Thats one of the reasons I got rid of OZ. Too many simple things didn't work. pdaXrom and even better pdaXii13 and stuff (including my Stowaway keyboard) just worked. If you don't want to have to remember how to fix it, you might check pdaXrom out. Good luck.

We need people like you guys, with these peripherals, to test and pass along the settings so that they can be made to 'just work'.

QUOTE(Ling @ Jan 18 2007, 06:36 PM) That's because somebody had the same stowaway keyboard and mapped the keys already. Although I prefer pdaXrom to OZ @ the current stage, this "pdaXrom just works" statement is not the right argument.

Well, I'd love to help, and am willing to install OE again to try different things, or hack entries in the keyboard driver and try them periodically or whatever; just tell me what to do! |

QUOTE(lardman @ Jan 19 2007, 01:12 AM) We need people like you guys, with these peripherals, to test and pass along the settings so that they can be made to 'just work'. Si Good point. I still have OZ on my 860 although I intend to gather up all of the accessories and put it on eBay. I will do some testing with it prior to departure and file bugs as appropriate. I read through the forums as I was working with OZ, the responses from the devs were a bit harsh with one notable smartarse and that really discouraged me from sticking with it trying to work through the issues. My Z is not a science project, it is a productivity device, so if the basic features I use don't work, I can't take days to work through each nit. I am sure you all appreciate that. I definitely appreciate what all the OS and app devs do the make our Z's useful. Sorry if the OZ devs were offended. |
