Hello All,
I am running Cacko 1.23 on a c760 and I am having issues with the wifi networking. I have used 2 different manufacturers wifi cards, but unforetunately they both have the exact same chipset (Intersil Prism 2.5 with primary firmware 1.1.1 and secondary firmware 1.8.4, according to hostap_diag). The network stays up for a minute or two and then I get the following type of message streamed to dmesg: wifi0: hfa384x_cmd_issue - cmd was busy for 5000 usec wifi0: hfa384x_get_rid: CMDMODE_ACCESS failed (res=-100, rid=fd51, len=6) and other similar messages starting with: wifi0: hfa384x_ - ... Please help, not much I can do with this thing without network support :-( ~Rodre |

I have a the same issues with botha an Ambicom and a no name card that shows up as a sanao something or other. I have flashed the latest prism firmware on both cards, this has made no difference.
What does work however is to hold the end of the card shifting finger position until I get a solid green light while it connects (I kid you not - low tech but it works! ) I do get intermittent messages about firmware missing but I am finding it hard to believe that it is a hardware problem on both cards. I re-installed (flashed) my Z with the Cacko distribution and both cards work fine now. Not sure what happened, but I have networking support now.
