Has anyone experienced any problems with DHCP on 3Com routers?
z5600 running 2.4.18-rmk7-pxa3-embedix rom 1.21 through Netgear MA701 through 3Com access point to 3Com dsl router issuing DHCP. If I set the address on the 5600 to static I get connectivity for about 2 seconds and then it bombs out with a 'no connection detected, check your TCP/ip setting' yet the connection mananger shows a link and the LED is on until I click OK on the warning and then the link is shut down. IF I set the 5600 to DHCP it just times out. ring any bells with anyone? |

I noticed that the ma701 is not in the wlan.conf file.
cardctl gives me the following messages cardctl ident Socket 0: product info: "NETGEAR", "MA", "" Socket 1: no product info available cardctl status Socket 0: 3.3v 16-bit PC Card function 0: [ready] |

fyi, I posted the original problem and traced the problem to a faulty cat5 cable. I now have no problem with the described setup
