After installing you need to "create" /etc/cups/cupsd.conf:

Edit it if necessary.

Start the cups daemon:

If you already have a cups server running on your network then you can list the useable printers:

The main reason I compiled this is to be able to create PDF files. Abiword and Gnumeric in Beta3 are now able to print to postscript files (printing to PDF results in an complete mess). Using Ghostscript's ps2pdf program it is possible to convert the postscript output into a PDF file.

The standard core 35 postscript fonts are not included in this package. They are not needed if you're only doing PS -> PDF conversion.

The new version (0.7 alpha / test version) uses libgdbm for storing the training results.

It is from the source of http://gpsd.berlios.de/ .

The package includes sirfmon, xgps and xgpsspeed, too.
