Hi-
Found my last Z [the 5500] on this board. Time to upgrade. Looking for an SL-6000, in good condition at about $300. Original software CD is a must, cradle/extras/accessories are bonus. Best ways to reach me are via Email/PM. Thanks in advance! |

I have a feeling your gonna have a rough time finding one for $300. They go for like $500-$600 on ebay, so I doubt you'll find one that low here.

. . .
More than $300 is overpriced, considering that you can get a c-1000 on ebay for "like $500-$600". And that's with a wireless card. If anyone actually has a 6000 in good shape for about $300, let me know, i'm still in the market. === Edit: The Zaurus C1000 can be found for about $400. Anyone paying more than $350 for a used SL6000 is walking into a scam... unless the 6 has a ton of extras thrown in. |

Well, no, actually, the SL6000 scams on eBay all seem to have them going at $300 - $350, but only sold in pairs. The real deal is fairly rare and quite desirable, so yes, they do go for upwards of $650 used. See the prices for new units on Streamline's website ... and there is no more reputable dealer here! http://www.streamlinecpus.com/store/produc...48&cat=2&page=1 |

If it's so desirable, I wonder why the 6000 is so hard to find...
And the reason for looking here first is because of the eBay scams. Their misbehavior doesn't mean that the price is wrong -- it means that they know what people want to pay, and are trying to capitalize on that. With that in mind, $300-$350 may actually be a good price for an honest person who wants to sell his/her used SL-6000 quickly. That was my situation the last time I bought an SL-5500 on these boards a couple of years ago. If anyone has an SL-6000 at around $300 that they want to part with, I'd like to hear from you. Thanks! |

You might be able to get a broken one for the $300-350 price range. Or mabe one that has been pretty beat up. I do want to sell mine, but not that low.

the reason it's hard to find is because it's so desirable. Sharp no longer makes the SL-6000, so there's more demand than there is supply. It's possible you'll find one for $300, but as stated above, it'll probably be beat up pretty bad, or broken.

I'm even willing to pay upto $301 for a Z6K.
Pricejapan has C1Ks for around $370 w/shipping. |

I just got $500 for mine in an eBay auction. No extras except the USB host cable, no box or CD. The guy seems very happy with it.

I sold 3 on ebay last year for $450-$500 each. To be honest, I bought all of them from Amazon as refurbished units. All were in perfect condition, including cradles. The only non-original item was a CD-R included by the seller which contained the original software. I have to agree with the majority, and say that the 6K is worth a lot more than $300, even beat up. |
