You do not need a physical connection between the C760 running VNC client software and a PC running VNC Server software. You can have a wireless connection between the two computers in ad hoc mode. I have used my C760 to display a map of my present location using Street Atlas software running on a Libretto laptop computer. The Libretto was connected to a Tripmate GPS receiver.

VNC will not do full motion video as far as I know... I suggest looking at VLC (www.videolan.org)....

You can use keypebble as the VNC client on the Zaurus.
I do not know what software you would need to network over the USB cable. You could search for PPP (Point-to-Point Protocol) and USB. That might help. |

You could also try gnumpg whereby all the audio stuff is done on the PC in the boot, and the Zaurus uses its web browser to control the audio.
Use juk (kde multimedia player) and control it from the Z over vnc. Alternatively, if the car PC runs windows, use winamp, use vnc or rdesktop. --- edit: oops, I meant gnump3d: http://www.gnu.org/software/gnump3d/ This post has been edited by speculatrix: Jan 1 2006, 06:51 AM |
