Hi,
I would like to know if you can power down a CF card / microdrive by software - i assume something using cardctl or something. What is the power drain in this situation? Would i notice a CF card in general sitting in my Z in terms of battery life? It's easy to remove the SD card, but i put my brothers 340 meg microdrive card in and i found it very difficult to remove without removing the pdair case first. |

using cardctl you can eject insert a card, cardctl --help.
you can also do this using the applet on the bar if I rember well. My guess is as Cf and sd card are solid memory for micro drive i don't know, they wont drain power unless they are accessed. |
