I've tried both the Look and Feel utility and editing ~/.Xdefaults directly. I can change the font color, background color and font size, but the terminal refuses to display anything other than monospace (which monospace font, I couldn't say. It's got serifs, though), and I can't stand monospace. The relevant line from .Xdefault currently reads " Rxvt*font:xft:Bitstream Vera Serif:pixelsize=14 ", and I as said the pixelsize portion of that line appears to work fine. I double-checked and libfontconfig-utils and libfontconfig1 are installed.
I'm stumped. Any thoughts? Running 3.5.4.1/GPE on an akita. |

QUOTE(LodeRunner @ Jan 8 2007, 07:20 PM) This is an old post, so this probably won't help you anymore. Before any of your changes will take affect you need to log out and log back in. It would probably be a nice touch to add some kind of notification to the user in the configuration tool so they know why their changes have not gone into affect. Here is what is in my ~/.Xdefaults for rxvt: Rxvt*font: xft:Mono:pixelsize=12 Rxvt*background: black Rxvt*foreground: green Rxvt*thickness:14 Hope this helps! |

Yes, I am logging out and back in each time (I've even tried hard reboots.) As I said originally, I can change font size and color, just not the font itself.
