Does anyone know what the task-* packages are used for? I wanted to remove openswan but package manager complains that task-bootstrap depends on it. I don't want to break anything so I didn't remove openswan. But it seems pretty strange that it can be removed so easily.

QUOTE(crow @ Jan 24 2006, 10:01 PM) They are "meta" packages which are only there to enforce installation of related applications on which they depend. But they don't provide in themselves any programs. Just a way to warn users against removing necessary base programs, for instance |
