Hi

Could someone help me out here?

I install bluez-zaurus_2.3-2.4.18d_arm.ipk and the bluetooth dialup applet. Howeever, I cannot get my Socekt rev F bluetooth CF card to work as my 6000.

The icon at the task bar shows up as CF1 not a bluetooth card icon.
If I type hiciconfig, nothing is printed. If I try sdptool broswer, it says " inquiring failed".
Here is the card info

3.3v 16-bit pc card
funtion 0:[ready]
product infor: " Socket" " CF+ personal network card"
mandif:0x0104, 0x009f

I also tried to delete bm3.conf... still the same

thank you

JAmes

I take it you have searched and found the previous threads about bluetooth and the 6000.

Sometimes my Socket card does not get recognised as a BT card, so I have to eject it, make sure all the contacts are clear of dust on the card and in the CF slot and reinsert.

A reboot may also help.

Hi Tumnus

I did try that several times. It just never worked. Is there anyway you can check if your card is funciton properly? cuz I get the card off ebay and if it is not doing the job, I need to return it.

thank you

Did you restart pcmcia when you deleted bm3.conf? If not, try that.

Otherwise, can you turn on syslogging? I don't know how it is setup on the 6000, but on earlier models, you had to uncomment the line in /etc/syslog.conf that contains "/var/log/messages" at the end and then start syslog using

/etc/rc.d/init.d/syslog start

Then you can look at the system messages in /var/log/messages when you insert the card. This should tell you what the PCMCIA subsystem is doing with it.

Once you are done, remember to comment that line out again and stop syslog as the log file can get rather big.

My Rev F card comes on as 'Anonymous Memory'. I think I might've blown my though, because it comes up the same way when I stick it in my laptop using the cf->pcmcia adapter.
