Hi, new SL-6000 user here. Thanks to everyone for all the great information in these forums and on this site. Getting started was a lot simpler with everything I found here.
Wireless networking is working perfectly, along with wired ethernet via a Socket CF card. However, I want to use a CF modem card for dialout in some situations. I am dialing "classic" Compuserve, so I need the dialup program to switch to a terminal rather than doing normal username/password PPP login. On other computers, I can select an option for getting a terminal screen after connecting so I can type a couple of lines like "CIS" to select Compuserve and "xxxxxx,yyyy/go:pppconnect" for the user name. Since the built-in PPP dialer doesn't appear to have a terminal option, is there any other dialup method or program available that would present a terminal screen at login? Thanks in advance, Brad |

Maybe Minicom will help you out.

Thanks for the suggestion on minicom. I don't know much about Linux, but it looks like I will probably have to look into scripting chat to enter the words and launch ppp. I guess it's time to read up on the underlying OS.
