Hi folks,
Not sure what the best way of getting this first into OE and then into OZ is, but... In order to use the micro-emacs app (and maybe other stuff), you'll need an /etc/terminfo directory with some terminfo files. I've tar'ed up the directory from my OZ 3.3.6p1 image here: terminfo.tar.gz jason |

Yep, that works... I should have seen that package, duh. I"ll modify my micro-emacs.oe and submit a patch to add that to DEPENDS.
Thanks! jason |

Hi,
On an SL5500, with a fresh flash of opie 3.5.3, it seems that installing ncurses-terminfo works OK, but it hangs during the ipkg-link add. I tried the entire procedure twice, with the exact same results. I was following the steps exactly as (well) documented here: http://www.minstrel.org.uk/papers/zaurus/ I control-C'ed out of the hang, but I'm not sure why this happens, and would like to be able understand what is going on. I manually linked the terminfo directory to point to ram where I have installed things, but I'm not sure this is a valid workaround. I notice funny characters in kismet on the corner of panels. Maybe this is normal, or maybe my terminfo is broken. Anyone know why the ipkg-link fails on ncurses-terminfo? John |
