Hello,
I am waiting on my 1GB SD card. Every vehicle that goes by my house, I swear is the UPS truck and I run to the window to see. While I'm waiting, someone pointed out that in order to format the card I will need to install some other packages. fdisk, mkfs and some other commands/functions are not included with the 6000L standard ROM. Could someone inform me as to which packages I should install? Thanks, Roger |

You could try this version which I built some time ago.
http://www.oesf.org/forums/inde...?showtopic=6520 The version of fdisk handles larger geometries better than the original version which was posted on the ZSI. Be aware though, that some SD cards are problematical and some work better with a FAT format. Particularly look for driver errors in dmesg output. The e2fsprogs in this version (mk2efs, e2fsck) handle ext3 properly, however, if you have the stock Sharp ROM then chances are you don't have ext3 built in. BTW: I'm waiting for a 2Gb SD Card from SanDisk so I know what you mean about waiting for that courier to turn up. |
