Hi,
SL5000d OS: XP Pro SP2 Intellisynch for SL 5500 Update Opie 3.2 crow flash sl5000d (Included NeoCal) After installation, I'm unable to set up applications with Outlook 2003. Previously with Outlook 2000, I was able to synch the Address Book, Calander, To Do list and my In Box. Communications is fine as I can transfer files. Once, I was able to set up E-Mail with 2003, (had the Outlook transfer <--> icon for that function) but it may have been a fluke. When I "choose" the other applications and designate Outlook as the translater, I get a message that the associated file is either in a different location or is a file of zero length. When I choose the "browse" nothing happens unless I'm working with E-Mail; then I am presented with the directories Inbox, Sent Items, and Outbox. The installation that seems to work best is following the Intellisynch dialog literally and not restarting the computer before plugging in the cradle with the Z active. I'm using a rear USB port as suggested by Intellisynch help. I got a dual PCMCIA port to work with this machine and I gotta believe there has to be a way to make this work. Otherwise the PDA's role is severely limited. Help is appreciated gsja_ent |

Hello. I have working connection with Outlook 2003 with SL-5500 and Sharp based ROM. Only one issue left. I cannot directly sync with Exchange folders, I have to first sync those folders to local pst file and then to Zaurus. Still I think e-mail synchronization sometimes crash e-mail client, but for contacts, calendar, todo and notes it works without any big problems (just some stability issues sync freezes sometimes etc...). In Outlook 2000 worked also sync directly with Exchange folders. I hope that Sharp and Intellisync will fix that problem and improove stability of synchronization. There are also ppl that cannot choose their e-mail application or groupware system at work because they work in Windows funclub based company (like me:-))

I see that you created a local .pst file in Outlook 2003 and then synched it to your server. May I ask how you did that? Outlook 2003 seems to want to use an .ost (offline storage) file for synchronization. When you look at synchronization options on any of the Outlook 2003 folders, they all need to synch to a local .ost file. We know that the Zaurus version of IntelliSync doesn't talk to .ost files ... Thanks, Doug |

There is a good tool is working with MS Word files - ost to pst, know how convert all information from Microsoft Exchange (files with the .ost extension) into files of the Microsoft Outlook mail client (.pst files) - OstToPst procedure, allows you to effectively solve problem ost pst conversion, use the ost to pst conversion tool to easily move your messages, contacts, notes, meetings, reminders, tasks and all other information, also effectively convert all information from the local Microsoft Exchange storage into a Microsoft Outlook file - ost pst conversion and convert OST PST file when the user account has been deleted from the Microsoft Exchange server.
