So here is a new thread solely for uploading newly made packages for Debian/Z that are either not present in the current official Etch/Lenny ARM feeds, or need to be recompiled for better performance.
To avoid messing up the "I want it compiled!" thread and real packages attachments, please upload the packages here. If you want something else compiled, make your wish in this thread. We cannot guarantee that all these new contrib/testing packages will work perfectly. But if you want to ask questions about them, please start a new thread for discussion. Thanks in advance. Again, this thread is purely for uploading/downloading things. No curse or thanks is necessary here. This post has been edited by ZDevil: Nov 5 2007, 10:15 PM |

Okay, let me go first.
Portabase 1.9 Homepage: http://portabase.sourceforge.net/ This old but reliable database application has lived its way from the original Sharp ROM to pdaXrom and now to Debian/Z! (I've removed the other attachments in the "I wanted it compiled" thread. This one has a desktop file and icon for your favourite desktop/WM.)
portabase_1.9_2_arm.deb ( 563.21K )
Number of downloads: 17Apart from the other dependencies (which will pull down automatically when apt-get install, you also need this patched version of metakit library:
libmetakit_2.4.9.3_4_arm.deb ( 129.58K )
Number of downloads: 18NoteCase 1.6.9 Homepage: http://notecase.sourceforge.net/ A real rising star of outliner for *nix using GTK! It's constantly under active development. The author, Miroslav, has got a Z because it's been ported to pdaXrom!), and he responds to feedback very earnestly.
notecase_1.6.9_1_arm.deb ( 677.99K )
Number of downloads: 8TuxCards 1.2 Homepage: http://www.tuxcards.de/ A comparable outliner to NoteCase in QT. Old but really useful.
tuxcards_1.2_1_arm.deb ( 311.84K )
Number of downloads: 5glHack 1.2 Homepage: http://glhack.sourceforge.net/ The SDL graphical version of (still) the 'latest' release of Nethack 3.4.3. Those who got addicted to it in pdaXrom (like me) will feel home here.
glhack_1.2_1_arm.deb ( 1.67MB )
Number of downloads: 8Sangband 1.0.0 (Final Release) Homepage: http://www.runegold.org/sangband/ A truly interesting and sophisticated variant of Angband (or "the *bands"). This SDL version features full graphical tiles (8x8, 16x16 and 32x32), sound effects and even background music! My favourite *band (besides Xangband). To quote from the official page: "There are many ways to die. There are as many ways to win. The choices you make among skills, the plunder from vaults and fallen foes, the objects you forge, your growing tactical prowess - all will shape your adventure. Will you take the Oath of Iron to learn the most powerful warrior arts? Will you stand staunch for the Light - or choose the way of blood and necromancy? A Shadow Paladin, a Mage Engineer, a Loresmith, a Skirmisher - all can topple the Dark Lord from his dark throne."
sangband_1.0.0_1_arm.deb ( 4.71MB )
Number of downloads: 7(Tip1: Change your desired display setting by pressing "=", then "!" (User Interface)) (Tip2: You can easily modify the sound and music settings in /usr/lib/games/sangband/lib/xtra/sound/sound.cfg and /usr/lib/games/sangband/lib/xtra/music/jukebox.cfg. For example, I dropped the Ultima7 tune there for more fun. You can use any .wav files for sound and .mid files for music) And here are the alsa libraries, development files and utilities rebuilt with ARM optimizations. Still can help with the sound yet, but may be useful later. libasound2 1.0.14a-3(alsa-libs)
libasound2_1.0.14a_3_arm.deb ( 321.98K )
Number of downloads: 7libasound2-dev 1.0.14a-3 (alsa-libs development files)
libasound2_dev_1.0.14a_3_arm.deb ( 65.29K )
Number of downloads: 3alsa-utils 1.0.14
alsa_utils_1.0.14_arm.deb ( 1.02MB )
Number of downloads: 5That's all for now. Enjoy! This post has been edited by ZDevil: Nov 2 2007, 01:14 PM |

xmonobut 0.4
Xmonobut is a simple X11 application that helps access 2nd and 3rd mouse buttons on touchscreen / single mouse button ( such as macs ) machines. Now here is a workaround for the missing mouse right (and middle) click key in Debian/Z! Simple Usage: xmonobut -k KEYCODE -m KEYCODE (-k = right mouse button; -m = middle mouse button) (use xev to get the keycode) My example: xmonobut -k 105 & = Only mapping the right Ctrl key (the kanji key to the right of Alt) to the right mouse button, and running it in background
xmonobut_0.4.1_arm.deb ( 7.19K )
Number of downloads: 8Since there seems to be no official page, let me also attach the readme from the source here:
xmonobut_readme.txt ( 1.23K )
