Anyone used them or know anything about them ? I only can share my experience (so, this is not an endorsement of any kind). I ordered screen protectors from them for my c3000 through ebay. I can not report any problems except they charged me $10 for shipping which cost 70 cents but I saw it on ebay auction when I bid. It was not a hidden cost - I knew what I was going to pay before I bid. |

- Odd. I purchased Hiroshi, my C1000, from them about two months ago. Directly, not through eBay or anything ... the "deal" they have on eBay turns out to be the exact same price as their web site ... after you toss in shipping. (grin)
- But Jeb, the US dude for C&C, was *very* responsive, *very* friendly, and *very* co-operative. I spent ten days grilling him about the sale before I even decided to buy from C&C. Then he and the UK dude fielded more queries about ROM backups and such, around which time I stumbled on OESF and stopped pestering them. (snicker) - They got my unit to me in *FOUR* days. From order to arrival, from Japan!! - There are only two people in the company, one in the US and one in the UK, plus an unknown number of them in Japan buying and shipping the products. It's possible Jeb's just on vacation or something. - I must admit this is surprising behaviour. In my (admittedly one-time) experience, C&C is the cat's meow. If you like I can ping Jeb and see what's up for you? If'n you want me to do this, it may be helpful to have some info to relate to him so he knows what to look for. (grin) |

Anyone used them or know anything about them ? I bought my C3000 from them and I was very satisfied with their attitude. I mostly dealt with Jeb and he was very informative and responsive. Very unusual. You may try calling them if there is no respones to your emails. |

I'm gonna buy a 3100 off them. eBay feedback seems fine, so we'll see. I'll let people know what happens. pricejapan seems cheaper but i can find less info about success stories with them. - Emil

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to order from pricejapan instead! They are a bit cheaper, $668 for the C3100 once all s&h etc added in. Chase were $729.

Did you have to pay any taxes in the UK?

I don't know about the UK, but I do know that pricejapan declares Zauruses as "electronic dictionaries" with quite low values, which makes it less likely that you'll have to pay much in tax.

Hmm, looking at my invoice I see that's what pricejapan did. It says its an electronic dictionary (technically true I guess, but not the whole truth) but then they list its value as 21000 yen, which is not true - it should be 56000. Well, I didn't ask them to do that so I don't think I've done anything wrong. From what I understand even if it had been described properly, the VAT man is not usually interested as its still small fry as far as they are concerned, unless they are having a very bad day. If you're concerned about this, order from trisoft. Probably what I should have done, but I was tempted by the low price! It feels a bit dodgy though, like ordering viagra or something..... Emil |
