Hi All
Gtk+ and gtk2 theme swithcher enables to customize the menu fonts and the windows look of all gtk based applicatins, such as mmx abiword gimp gqview ... Want to knew if some one have complied them for pdaxrom  cause MEANIE have done it for XQT and the effect is really great  cheers freebird |

But dillo and xmms menu fonts will not change cause these two applications are based on gtk !! so now i have to search for gtk theme switch cheers freebird |

Hi Folks,
First, this works very well, many thanks for the link. Second, I was trying this out, but specifying the name of the theme tarball on the command line. I tried many themes off of the gtk+ site, and almost all of them worked, although some complained about the lack of the theming engine, and one was a tar.bz2 which did not work (until I converted it to a tar.gz). There was also some garbage after the EOF marker in that one. I noticed that I could only execute the command once per theme, and that if I tried again, I would get an error stating that the file was not a valid tar archive! It seems that when you specify the tarball as the argument, the theme is installed in the ~/.themes directory. From that point on, you just need to specify the theme name. If you try to specify the full path to the tarball again, it most likely fails trying to create the directory (since it alreay exists) but reports it as an invalid tarball. I hope this saves others from wondering what is going on! John |
