Hey all. New boxer owner here, trying out this slick looking rom. I like what i see so far. smile.gif

One (hopefully simple) question. When I'm playing tunes with xmms (or doing anything else on battery that doesn't require user input), is there an easy way I can prevent the unit from suspending?

thks

There is applet on "taskbar" of MatchBox (looks like monitor) - there you can disable suspend.

Unfortunately (not so simple) it doesn't work in some instances!

See this thread for some options on how to get around it if you have problems...

Fortunately no problems for me & my boxer. Works like a charm smile.gif. Interesting hacks in the thread though. I'll keep it on file in case I do run into issues.

What's the 'XMMS' selection on the blanker menu supposed to be for? Doesn't seem to do anything on or off.

Thanks for the help.

Yah, that's only a little over 16 minutes. Takes me almost an hour to walk to work smile.gif.

The XMMS checkbox allows the hardwarekeys on the side to be mapped for XMMS playback control as far as i can recall

For the record, spoke too soon sad.gif. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Haven't been able to figure out exactly how to recreate it either way. Checking out the other thread more closely. thks
