Anyone got any links or reading about what laptops are available with transreflective displays. I am sick of hiding behind things and squinting in order to read my laptop outside.

I just spent a month in Indonesia installing wifi gear outside and configuring it was a nightmare with the sun.

As far as I can find there is only the OQO and at 5 inches it's a tad smaller than I need. I would ideally like 10 inch or so.

Talking about transflective displays. I'm very happy with the display on my akita, but I'm surprised its not transflective already. At full brightness, I can read it in daylight, but if its transflective, I can then turn the brightness to "0" and be able to read in daylight and have long batt life.

Maybe Tokyo folks spend most of their time indoors? ph34r.gif

ok ok, I mostly do as welll ... tongue.gif
