while trying to change the default shell to bash, i some how changed the root user name to Root. :cry: i found a post from Stubear about switching to single user mode, and was able to switch it back.
http://www.zaurususergroup.com/index.php?n...ingle+user+mode i think his post would make a good how-to. one thing, i did different was to do a reset, instead of taking the battery out. it was still a pain to get into. took a couple of times to get it to work. this was on the 6000L model, so they did not change it. |

the great thing about the ZUG How To Docs section is that it's a wiki... so any registered user can create this how to page.

i added a wiki page for Run Levels under the Developing section. correct any mistakes you find.
instructions for run level 3 booting came from Foxdie http://www.zaurususergroup.com/index.php?n...ghlight=console i got it boot to run level 1 on a reboot, so i used that instead of a reset or taking the battery out. that is a the safer way. it is still hit and miss to get it to work, thou. |
