Today i recieved my C700, it came with japanese charger , on the back of the charger it is stated :
AC 100V - 50/60Hz 11VA ( what does this 11VA stands for?)
DC 5.0V 1.0A
and the schematic about polaritty ( outside is - inside +).
i got a usa/europe transformator - whic my cousin used with her hairdryer (shes from US) - it worked for about 15 min and then the charging led stopped and wouldnt charge.
i have probably

allso i found an old charger that i used on my cd discman ofrm sony, it has exactly the same output jack as zaurus and on the back are the details :
input AC 220-230V 50-60Hz 6W ( why is this different from japanese one)
output DC 4.5V ___--- 500mA - this probably means it would take longer to charge the battery ( compared to 1.0 A on sharps original?)
the polaritiy is the same outside is - and inside +

can i use this one with with without bricking my zaurus?
can anybody with electroinc knowledge compare the details on this two chargers and tell me can i charge it with thios one untill a new one arrives!

Thank you everybody in advance!!
