I spent a good amount of time researching options for connecting a Zaurus to a Citrix MetaFrame server. I never found a good solution, but for future researchers I consolidated what I learned here:
http://www.oesf.org/index.php?title=Networ...or_my_Zaurus.3F Some of the information may apply to using Microsoft Windows Terminal Services, the RDP protocol and of course the ICA protocol. The lack of a proven solution was a real dissapointment: A handheld with a good keyboard and a landscape 640x480 screen would make an incredible mobile Citrix client. |

The current java clients require Swing for the .jar based ones and propritary M$ stuff for the cab based ones.
I think you are unlikely to get them running - BTW: They are 'applet only' now. The older version (gave a JAVA application ...which you can't download anymore it seems) requires AWT support and I managed to get it running on an IPK using Kaffe once - various font problems, then it crashed. I wouldn't hold out much hope unless you can pull off a full JRE installation on your Z (blackdown JRE 1.3.1 and PocketWorkstation is a possibility).... it's going to be real slow though. - Andy |
