I have a charging problem with my 5500. No lights, no boot, but put it in the charger and it gets hot.
I'm not a techie. Any ideas folks? J |

I have no idea about it, honestly BUT...
If it's dead, and you no longer want it, I'd buy it from you. I'm interested in trying to expand my sl-5500 from 64mb to 128mb. I think the only way to do this is a "stacked memory" upgrade. This is where new chips are stacked on top of old chips. (If I'm right, Toshiba only made 2 versions of the chips in the SL-5x00's. One produces the 32mb model, the other the 64mb model). Anyway, since I don't want to toast my sl-5500 while hacking around, I'm looking for a dead one to play with... Bill bsaunder2002 at some yahoo ish email COM pany |

I forgot to add...
If I resurected it(fat chance in hell, I'm not an electrical engineer), then I'd sell it back to you for the cost you sold it to me + one way shipping.... BUT I don't think it'll ever come alive again if I get my hands on it. Bill |

QUOTE(macwiz @ Aug 15 2005, 01:57 PM) I would be interested in purchasing your brick (or any other 5x00 brick out there) as long as it has a working touch screen and backlight. Please e-mail me at jherrer @ tutopia . com if you are interested in selling it and let me know how much you want. J |
