Just installed cacko. Mine works just fine. Not sure what the difference between the cacko 1.23 rom images are accross the different zaurus. I also read someone else having this issue and thought it was just a bad install in his part. now we have your issue.
You can try to modify the file using zeditor in root mode. the directory for that file is in /home/zaurus/.znester and change a few of the settings. one last thing you can do...make sure all files are installed internally. This post has been edited by Cresho: Dec 7 2006, 06:27 AM |

Worked!
on the other hand... sorry :/ Downoaded from your website the latest version, Erased everything, and installed everything in the "internal" storage (as stated in the instructions, previously I had installed it on SD-Card) and it works properly now sorry for all the trouble, and thanks for your time  I'll try installing everying on SD again to see if it's possible, and I'll post my results, thx again! It's actually working better than my last try but i still see lots of small bugs. bluetooth works great but suspend resume is buggy. when i shut down and start up, it looses the bluetooth card. then i need to shut down and start up again so it can see it. Ill be looking for commands cuz i hate manually removing it and sticking the card back in. |

I hate to be a pain but if you're doing a revised version could you put the script support (use script to run PCE instead of direct call) for PCE in so I can get the joystick going for PCE games?

I'm not the original author of that particular file but I have been reading up on a work around utilizing the terminal. The problem with this is you get a screen 1/4 size. Not updating anything till something better comes along.

I think the owner is not aware of it. I have not sent him any messages regarding this but I will today. He also owns OESF.
The site was started up upon a request from him because I was building sl-5500 themes on my spare time and putting it up on a 10mb webspace along with my zaurusvideo tutorial for winxp users. He figured we needed a theme and wallpaper site and he asked me if i can do this. That's how that started. So if you want to donate, send it to the oesf or zaurususergroup webpage. He eventually gets the donation for his money spent on webspace. |

ok i read installed the files necessary for cacko like you said and i told the file to use root privilege's then i started it choose the rom file and it just went to a black screen then said one moment please and it was rotated then it just went all total black i waited 10 mins and nothing so i dont know what i did wrong

what game are you trying to run?
did you create a swap file with the aplet I included? some games need alot of extra memory. was the zemuex-zports the last thing you installed? |
