I want to see how Saint maslovsky's configuration works on the cacko rom. is it still jerky without it? or does it help?

I hope someone can post here cuz this is important.

I have not installed the keyhelper modification. I have installed only the 3 emu files: NES, SNES and frontend. Thats it.

There is no jerkiness whatsoever. The only problem is that the keys are reversed in the SNES emu.

I do not have my Z here - but I will follow your suggestions (over the weekend) and will post results here.

Is it possible to customize the NES keys in a similar way? How?

Thank you for your continuing support on this!

I have tried the instructions as per post 45.

No impact whatsoever.

Any other ideas?

Anyone tried to run this with Cacko rom? Could you please tell what libraries/settings you used to get the controls work correctly?

I used the libsdl_1.2.5-slzaurus20050410 that is in the old Cacko feed originally, and it worked fine. I'd like to use the new BVDD optimized version Maslovsky posted in the new Cacko feed, but as you've pointed out, the keybindings are reversed in the SNES emulator.

Actually, I'm using the bvdd version from the Cacko feed and the keys work just fine. It's possible that I briefly had Cresho's SDL package installed on Cacko but if so then I uninstalled it before installing the bvdd version. (I don't remember if I did to be honest.) My keys work fine, and the emulator runs noticeable smoother than it did before I installed Cacko and the bvdd SDL. I'm using a C1000.

I'm on a C1000, too. To be specific, you are saying the keys in the SNES emulator are fine? I just wiped out the entire environment (emulators, front-end, libraries, etc.), and installed them all over again via the updated cacko feed, including the bvdd sdl. The SNES emulator runs, but the direction keys are still off. For example, in Ultima 7 the direction keys appear to be rotated once clockwise:
Down moves Left
Left moves Up
Up moves Right
Right moves Down

very strange. I'm going to check out the mod. Cresho mentioned in post 45 and see what happens.

Oops, I'm wrong. The keys do work, but I do not have the bvdd SDL installed! I had installed it, but had key problems and moved back to Cresho's package. I forgot about that, but I just double-checked on my Z. Sorry for providing some misinformation. sad.gif

On the bright side, I found that on Cacko even the non-bvdd SDL runs faster than it was on the stock Sharp ROM, and now SNES seems to run at full speed.

use this file and no keybinder or keyhelper files(these files are only needed to default sharprom. and not cacko)

just install this lib to correct the key rotation problem

libsdl_1.2.5-slzaurus20050410_arm.ipk and make sure you dont have any other libsdl installed. make sure you have libmixer installed.

if you guys hare having problems, ill post something up. I took down cacko since i worked on a other stuff for the regular sharprom. I may put it back up just to see whats going on.

So how is the speed on this emu for games like Mario Kart or Mario World? I hope my new 3100 gets here soon because I really want to try this out.

Good work guys.
