Well, maybe this will be a good resource for folks who want to try the new Zaurus support in the OpenBSD 3.7 arm port!
Thanks offroadgeek! LINKS: Project page - http://www.openbsd.org/zaurus.html Install docs - ftp://ftp.openbsd.org/pub/OpenBSD/3.7/zaurus/INSTALL.zaurus P.S. I had difficulty subscribing to the arm port mailing list via gmail. If anyone is already a member, please post a link to this forum on the mailing list. |

hello folks,
openbsd on the zaurus is really a great idea! though i'm not familiar with *bsd, i managed to get some network stuff running and install a windowmanager. i tried xfce4 but it was too lame, so i decided for fluxbox. a problem i still have is getting the input devices right. i guess xmodmap will help with alt- and function-keys, does anyone know the keycodes for the 2 japanese keys? and can you give me a hint on how to get the right click (fn + tap) working? sorry if these are stupid questions, i rtfm and stfw already. wortwechsel |

Hey Barry, thanks a lot for your advice!
I gather that zkbd should be working out of the box, right? Apparently, this is not the case with my installation... although dmesg indicates that everything is fine. It could be that i mixed up 3.8 and snapshot components - don't know if that could cause problems. Anyway, for fluxbox, i just put 'Control m :RootMenu' into ~/.fluxbox/keys and this solves my main problem with the missing right click. And for the missing Keys - it's not really urgent, so i'll try to find a way on my own and eventually post a more detailed description & solution. Have a good time! |
