Is there something out there that would act like a knoppix (Znoppix) rescue disk? It would be nice to be able to recover the mess we do without reinstalling.

Cool idea. I use DSL (Damn Small Linux) on both CF and USB in other contexts ... I haven't looked at the OE boot arangement but DSL may be fairly easy to use if you can boot from CF or SD. John |
